blog If you were watching the global tech media outlets overnight, you may have noticed that a number of vendors, including Samsung, have gone a bit crazy at the IFA conference in Berlin, announcing a slew of new products. Samsung in particular has announced several products which will be of deep interest to Australian consumers, including the third edition of its popular Galaxy Note smartphones, a new 10″ Android tablet, and its long-expected smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear. The good news is that all of the new Samsung hotness will be coming to Australia. A statement issued by the company this morning tells us:

“Following the success of the Samsung GALAXY Note range in Australia, we are excited to confirm that Samsung GALAXY Note 3 as well as the innovative new GALAXY Gear and the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) will all be launching in Australia soon. Pricing and availability information will be made available closer to the launch date.”

Telstra, Optus (including its Virgin brand) and Vodafone have all confirmed they will be ranging the Note 3. Probably the best place to find first impressions of the devices is on industry standard The Verge, which has hands-on previews of all three units (the Note 3 here, the Note 10.1 here and the Gear here).
