Delimiter highly commended in awards

7

Hi everyone,

happy Monday morning! *groan* ;)

Just a quick note to let you know that while Delimiter didn’t pick up any awards at the IT Journalism Awards (‘The Lizzies’) held on Friday night, we were awarded highly commended in a number of categories — the overall Best Title award, Best Website and Best Business Technology Coverage. All of these categories were won on the night by iTNews, which did particularly well — congratulations!

I personally was highly commended in the Best Columnist category (read: ‘Best Ranter’) which was won by our good friend David Braue, with whom we’ve had several editorial sparring matches over the past year. We’re also proud of our colleagues at ZDNet.com.au — with journalists Luke Hopewell and Josh Taylor winning and getting highly commended respectively in the Best New Journalist category.

Congratulations to all the winners!

The complete list is below.

Cheers,

Renai LeMay

  1. Congratulations Renai! Very well deserved recognition indeed. Personally I think you should have won best business technology coverage by a long shot, but at least you were highly commended.

I’m astounded to see The Australian get best news coverage award though. You sure that’s not a error and they actually won the “Best FUD spreader” award?

  2. Congrats Renai.

I notice that I did not get my gong for “Best ‘Yes Minister’ Reference in a Tech Article”.

However, we now know we have to boycot SMH and ‘shakes fist’ Lifehacker AU. That Angus Kidman!
