Tier two bank Suncorp has extended two business processing contracts with Unisys for an undisclosed sum.
The contracts mean the IT services group will continue to provide the bank with cheque processing services for a further two years and direct entry electronic payments for a further three years.
A statement from issued by Unisys said the company’s Australian subsidiary Unisys Payment Services Ltd (UPSL) had processed approximately 68 million cheque, direct debit and credit payment transactions annually for Suncorp since 2001, as well as hosting the bank’s payment system for electronic cheque image archive and retrieval, and provided Suncorp with settlement and clearing services.
