A brief word from NBN Co’s staff

A brief but heart-felt word from various staff members of NBN Co about why they like working for the company (I believe this is part of NBN Co’s recruitment drive). Not a bad little video — it makes it clear that NBN Co’s team very much believes in what they’re doing.

Ah, good, wholesome trolling. Trolling the way it used to be, back before people took everything so personally.

Not that I have anything insightful to add to the conversation. This is just raking some stone cold coals over a horse that is well and truly flogged, to mercilessly mix my metaphors.

Shame I cant see the vid from here at work, will have to wait til I get home :/

Hey Renai, small side discussion on this. In related posts is a link to http://delimiter.com.au/2010/07/16/how-many-staff-have-already-left-nbn-co/ from a couple of years ago.

Had a quick look at it, and was thinking it would be interesting to revisit such stories now everything at NBN Co has settled into routine.

I beseech everyone here to watch the video with the automatic google captions.

It mostly doesn’t make sense, but some of the statements are hilarious in the extreme.

“…and I like the removal of clothes together and Wendy”

And a part where a guy is saying: “i am a field manager in construction” with subtitles: “In America”

I’d rather government took direct responsibility instead of contracting out. But this is how things are done today. At least NBN Co. is meeting a demand from the public the private sector alone would never have met. early so well as the NBN plan will.
