CeBIT Australia today held the Future-Proofing Your Data Centre conference in Sydney. In attendance was Finance Minister Lindsay Tanner, who outlined the Federal Government’s new datacentre strategy.
Michael Jenkins, manager of enterprise architecture and strategy at Toyota Australia, also outlined the company’s extensive software as a service strategy, and Westpac revealed it had completed a proof of concept trial of an internal ‘private cloud’ of virtualised IT infrastructure.
