Friday Five: Red Rock’s Jonathan Rubinsztein
Every Friday we’ll profile a prominent figure from Australia’s IT, telecommunications or video gaming industries in the Friday Five.
You might know Jonathan Rubinsztein as the chief executive of UXC subsidiary Red Rock … but did you know that he started a manufacturing company when at university in South Africa or that he like trance music? You will soon, as he’s this week’s guest in the Friday Five.
1. What was your first job ever?
My first job was working for myself in a business that I started whilst doing my university degree in Cape Town. I started a small company manufacturing textiles called Ruby Manufacturing, and grew that to about 30 people whilst at university, My first job where I had to report to someone was at Andersen Consulting in Sydney.
