David Bushby : Liberal Senator for Tasmania on the NBN...

    NBN Shock For Tasmania

Tasmanians were told that they should be grateful for being the guinea pig of the NBN. Instead, it now looks as if mainland NBN locations will hold an advantage over Tasmania in terms of access
Tas NBN offerings behind other states: Bushby
The fact that Telstra, for technology reasons, whether it's justified or not from their perspective, are saying they're not going to be offering these packages in Tasmania puts us behind the rest of the nation
puts us behind the rest of the nation
puts us behind the rest of the nation
puts us behind the rest of the nation
puts us behind the rest of the nation
puts us behind the rest of the nation
Let's just ignore the fact that NBNco are not yet offering speeds greater than 100/40mbps.

Let's just ignore the fact that that there are other ISP perfectly willing, able and capable of delivering those plans that Telstra refuses to sell.

This is coming from a senator for a party that believes speeds like 100/40mbps are not needed let alone 1gbps.

This is coming from a senator whose leader said about those 1gbps speeds:
This idea that 'hey presto' we are suddenly going to get 10 times the speed from something that isn't even built yet I find utterly implausible.
(10 times faster NBN on way, says Labor)

The hypocrisy is ever so breathtaking.

Nice response HC; this pollie waffle NBN FUD sounds a bit like part of the non-stop campaign being run by our little mate here on delimiter and elsewhere. In fact it sounds very like it - now how could that be?

And I wonder why the phrase 'never let the facts spoil a good story' keeps running through my mind?
