news Vodafone has announced it is offering a month of fee-free access for new customers who switch from another provider on any post-paid voice or mobile broadband plan.

The offer is available to non-business customers who port in their existing number to Vodafone from 23 March until 5pm on 29 March, the firm said.

“We know how important it is to stay connected, so if you’re having trouble with your network, we invite you to come on over to Vodafone,” said Vodafone’s Director of Sales Ben McIntosh.

Customers who are not happy with their new service in the first 30 days, can cancel the contract and pay only for what they have used under the firm’s ‘Network Happiness Guarantee’, he added.

Additionally, Vodafone’s Data WorkOut plan brings two months of unlimited data to customers on 24 month post-paid voice plans when they switch or upgrade.

The company explained that the minimum monthly spend for month one would include any applicable device repayments, while the minimum monthly spend from month two onwards is 100% of plan cost plus any applicable device repayments.

For 12- and 24-month plans after the initial 30 days, the early exit fee is 100% of the plan cost multiplied by the number of months remaining, plus any remaining device repayments.

  1. Unfortunately for me, Telstra is still king in all the areas of the South-West of WA that I go to.

Looking at the Vodafone coverage map, my town (Capel) completely misses out on the purple and thankfully misses out on the ‘outdoor only’, we are in the middle with the turquoise type colour, even Telstra has better coverage than that.

Though, tbf, the main mobile tower for the town is about 5km out of town at the rifle range, thankfully though Telstra installed a new tower near the Iluka minesite but I guess Vodafone has opted to remain at the rifle range.
